The Sugarmill Voted Midlands Best Small Venue in NME Poll

The Sugarmill is delighted to announce that yet again it has topped a poll from leading music magazine the NME in association with JD Roots as best small music venue in the Midlands. The announcement for which venue has won the overall national prize will be on 8th May and will be decided by a panel which includes Frank Turner, T In The Park and Glasgow King Tuts Wah Wah Hut promoter Geoff Ellis, Reading And Leeds Festivals mainman Melvin Benn, Jo Dipple, head of UK Music, Radio 1's Huw Stephens and NME's own Krissi Murison, Mike Williams and Luke Lewis.
Promoter Danni Brownsill said -"We're so pleased to have won this accolade for a second year running. It really means the world to us that it is our customers who voted for us. It is as much their award as it is ours as we can't continue to do what we do without their support, so to everyone who voted thank you, and well done for getting YOUR local venue recognised and keeping Stoke firmly on the musical map. If you keep your eyes peeled we will be announcing details of a party to celebrate our winning and reward those who voted very soon..."
