Inspired by the vast concrete expanse of Stoke that they call home, Onyda (real name Shae Rhiannon) has descended like a dystopian cowboy clad in jewel-hued velvet.
With a jaded heart and seductive vocals, Onyda explores the dark narrative of the human condition through alternative pop. An obsessive creator, Onyda works with music, visuals, film, fashion and artwork. Drawing upon a wide range of influences from the beats of Tyler the Creator to the songs of Peggy Lee and Tame Impala with visuals of Boogie Nights; The Good, The Bad and the Ugly and This Is England, Onyda embraces the queerness of life in an industrial northern town through an acid soaked lens.
Their debut EP Queen of Duality is out now on all platforms.
